This also goes for the “negative” images….

I’ve spent a lot of time in the last few years imagining things that might happen or worry more than I usually do….and guess what, my body (and yours) experience that as real too!

One of the first ways to relieve our body from the chains of unnecessary (or unconscious) flight/flight/freeze can be a simple shift in what we are imagining.

I like to sit back and imagine the mountains. I pretend my body is fluid and able again and that I can scale any mountain out there….my brain thinks it’s real, and sometimes that’s a nice break. 

Our F/F/F response is life saving and genius, but as we sit in unconscious worry, etc it becomes and unskilled way of using our resources. Take a break today, give yourself mental rest… 💜
